Celtic Rant

Drawing on the rich repertoire of East Coast Celtic tradition of intricate instrumentals, sea shanties, Irish and Scottish songs, and original compositions, Celtic Rant have forged a polished sound around the guitar, fiddle, pipes, mandolin, and excitingly robust vocal harmonies. Celtic Rant is a trio from Nova Scotia that delightfully delivers trad tunes, brings folk lyrics to life, and gives a nuanced sense of home in original songs. They are funny and self – aware creating lovely onstage comaraderie. With storytelling stringing the show together, Celtic Rant demonstrates exquisite talent on various instruments and stunning vocal harmonies. As music educators they weave a strong sense of history and significance into their music and are able to provide workshops as a secondary part of their performance engagements.

Celtic Rant consists of Victor Fraser on vocals, guitar, tenor banjo and fiddle, Rob Wigle on vocals, guitar, mandolin and bouzouki, and Rob Greene, who also does vocals and plays bass guitar, fiddle and pipes.
